Fantastic Friday: The Blockchain Mine (OSE)

Equipment

A mining rig consists of a mining pick, a lantern, a rope (50', hemp), a sack (small), and a backpack. An Adventurer can purchase one at any affiliated kiosk near the Blockchain Mine at the price below; the added cost includes fees for AdventureGild ® certification of the durability and quality of the elements of the pack.

A High-Quality ® mining rig consists of two pickaxes made of Mythryl ®, a lantern (bullseye), a rope (50', free-range organic hemp), a sack (large), and a backpack with a patch certifying it is a High-Quality ® item, making you the envy of other Adventurers.

An Enchanted ® mining rig consists of the same gear as the High-Quality ® pack, but the pickaxes are enchanted with Nystul's magic aurum ®; the sparkling gold sheen provided by the enchantment displays to all the magical nature of the pickaxes, which guarantees they will be useful even for enchanted cryptcurrency.

None of the elements of a rig may be sold separately, as per AdventureGild ® regulations. Violation of these terms may result in Termination of Contract(or).

Wyrm of Service
These dragons dwell near the Blockchain Mines. They are consulted only in cases of dissatisfaction, at which point they provide a final (re)solution.

Inspecter
Differently-corporeal persons; doomed to watch over in death the activities that claimed it in life, chained by the blockchain to the immutable ledgers.

  • Undead: Make no noise, until they attack. Immune to effects that affect living creatures (e.g. poison). Immune to mind-affecting or mind-reading spells (e.g. charm, hold, sleep).
  • Mundane damage immunity: Can only be harmed by magical attacks.
  • Economic drain: A successfully hit target permanently loses 200 gp of cryptcurrency (at the current market price); a target with no cryptcurrency loses cash, and then items and equipment of equivalent worth. A person drained of all gp becomes distraught and may turn to self-termination; such an individual becomes an inspecter the next night, supervised by the inspecter that ruined him.
EDIT: I just realized ghasts aren't a thing in OSE. Huh...

Ghast
Similar to the ghouls they resemble, but with diabolic cunning and a nauseating stench. Sometimes accompany ghouls.

  • Paralysis: For 3d4 turns (save versus paralysis). After paralysing a target, ghasts will attack others.
  • Undead: Make no noise, until they attack. Immune to effects that affect living creatures (e.g. poison). Immune to mind-affecting or mind-reading spells (e.g. charm, hold, sleep).
  • Nauseating stench: Surrounded by a stench of death that sickens humans and demihumans: save versus poison or suffer –2 to hit, while in melee with a group that includes ghasts.
